I think this is a good book it was also a sad story.I enjoyed reading this book Dorina was the main person & all the pressure was onto her they were all counting on her to help them slove the mystery they were also counting on her to make sure she didn’t bLuRt out the secret. Mabey they wernt dead? Over all i think this book gets a rating of 10/9 for ME!

beautiful dead is a good book and has a sad story it made me feel sympathy for the main character .it made me sad when darina could not go to her boyfriend phonex i felt like that was unfair for her to stay away from him.also i think that why didntt they believe her that she new someone lived in the house but they thought that she had dremet it all but she new it was all true.if i was darina i would have never let him go and would stay with him from thick and thin.i would give the book as a 5* rating out of 5 .it was quite catchy,adventourous and spontaneous which made me want to read something new.

Beautiful dead is a mysterious story which makes you want to read more every chapter. It is spooky, very enjoyable for people who don’t even like these type of books. I think that it was sad at the beginning because of the fact Darinas boyfriend died and that nobody could understand how she really felt but when she was re-united with Phoenix (her dead boyfriend) it was very heartwarming. Also the way that she dealt with the beautiful dead afterwards and helping them was a brave thing to do. I would rate this book 8/10.

I found this book very boring no offence to who ever enjoyed the book but this book didn’t mean anything to me. I liked the story line but the rest was boring

Beautiful dead is an emotional and touching book about a girl who experienced several deaths and finds an unknown land were the dead live and speak.A gripping novel which takes you in the book.

Beautiful dead is an amazing book. It makes you wonder what it’s going to be about. When i read the blurb it was very interesting. It’s about a girl called Darina who has to find out who has murdered is. It’s a mysterious book. After i had read the book i thought that the story was incredible. And i just love the thought of the sound of beating wings echoes. I can even imagine it in my head. it is so good to read its like you are in the book yourself!

Beautiful Dead,a BRILLIANT BOOK! This book is very emotional and touching. Beautful Dead is very deatailed it is easy to understand too. Ilove the front cover! All my unanswered questions were answered!!.Four teenagers are dead within a year.Weird things start to happen.Darina keeps seeing visions of her dead and boyfriend. This book is uses alot of descriptive language. I also enjoyed reading this book. Really good! 8/10

First Impression: Fantasy, weirdly fascinating, attention grabbing title, isolation, sinister, life/death!
After Reading: Plot: all my questions were answered but I wanted to know about Hunter more, it could have gone into more detail of his true self. I believe in ghosts and stuff but I didn’t know they had so much power which is fascinating. 4 out of 5!
Characterisation: the characters were all believable, I especially liked the characters of Hunter, Brandon and Jonas as Hunter was so cold but inside he was portrayed (once) a loving person, Brandon because of how he cared for Darina and stood over her like a protective brother, and Jonas because I liked his description and if he was real or if a film was made he would be really cute! 5 out of 5!
Language/Writing Style: the language wasn’t really difficult to understand but it was fun to see the techniques the author used to portray the different groups of characters and stories all revolving around the death of Jonas (mainly). The Vocabulary was very clearly thought out and carefully chosen. Eden Maguire is a great writer, I’m not saying this because it has a great storyline but because of the clear and well planned structure. 5 out of 5!
Appeal: I really enjoyed this book, its one of the best I’ve ever read, it’s aimed at 11+ because of the ages of the characters and the language and violence included. People my age would love it because its about the supernatural! 5 out of %!
Overall mark: 19 out of 20!

This was a really good book, I felt as if I was right there on the scene when Jonas’ dad commited suicide, and all the rest of the book. I was really glad to find out that Matt kills himself in the end, I was also happy to find out that Jonas could rest in peace as Darina worked out that Matt killed him. I was also nearly crying at the intense moments hoping that it would all turn out alright! I can’t wait to read the next book. I would reccomend this book to anyone of any age( but only if they are the type of books you enjoy reading!) xxx <3
