I didn’t like this book because it wasn’t interesting and completely absurd! The ending was depressing and unrealistic this would of never of happened and even though it’s fiction it is mean’t to be!
I’d give this book 3/10 becuse it’s horrible!
This book is fantastic, i like the way that Malcolm has introduced the charicters, and when the R.A.F blew up there boat it was a thrilling part of the story.
I also like the amazing front cover of the book i think it gives the story a real good start, it really makes people want to pick it up and read it.

i love this book!!!!!! it starts off a bit boring but it just gets better and better. I love the idea of having a forbidden island and having a disease in it. I also love mikes character, how he enjoys his life and ignores the sign. However there are some bad points too… i didnt like the ending that much because 3 people died it would have been better with just 1 person dying or all of them surviving but 3 people was just too much and left me very upset even though it was a book
This book is about 5 boys who ignore a warning sign on a dangerous island and go on a mysterious adventure .A gripping fantastic novel which drags you on.
it was an amazing book.
WICKED!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is incredibly adventurous and emotionally touching. Mike and his friends’ actions make you realise whats important and how they feel about each other. Discrimination is showed against one child but in the end it is that girl who saved their lives. In my opinion the wrong people died at the end of the story. I would recommend this book to all ages. It is a real page-turner.
It made me want to read on when Mike and his friends find out about a weird, strange island and discover things. Overall I found it interesting. It all started with a small headache and with their strength-weakening disease, anthrax. The story got better and better. The story was a bit confusing at the end and also, it was not very nice that Annie died with the disease. I really liked the bit when Mike went to the nursing home to see Betty and tell her how Jack died.
This story is really interesting!!!!!!!
Five brave teenagers stumble upon a mysterious island while enjoying their ride on the sea. They ignore the island’s warnings and step inside its surroundings not thinking what could lie beyond on their dangerous journey….
My comment…
When I read the first few chapters I started to feel anxious and curious about what’s going to happen to them! When I read the bit about Annie and Hugh not being well I felt sorry for them and almost imagined me being amongst them. I would like to thank the author of this book, Malcolm Rose. This book is amazing!
