Forbidden Island is about some friends who are on a ship and they see an island, but is not on there map. They go on the island, and they look around and find wierd things. Later on, on the island problems start to happen, there ship gets destroyed and they'e stuck on the island with not much food. They all live in a house they find, and they try to look out for ships to help them. some people get injured on the island.
At the end only some escape from the island. (I think this book is great, it should of got in the final 6)

i really liked this book because i thought it was interesting how the author used a real island and anthrax from history and how he used kids instead of adults because it is usually adults who have to go through these type of problems and i liked how he didnt have all of them dying but he did not let them all live

Forbidden Island is a very realistic book worthy of our praise. It shows the mystery that is our Goverment. It tells of the naive curiosity of us humans that have sometimes led us to our doom and this mostly occurs in scientific discoveries like Antrax. We constantly disturb the natural balance of life by conductin various experiments of thing that are better to be left unknown.
Forbidden Island is a sad, gripping story with a name that says it all; But it puts a puzzling question on my mind, Would You Sacifice The Life Of Five In Order to save Your Country?

A gripping book that has you hooked from start to finish, with a sinister war secret that threatens the credibility of the government. A band of friends explore the Forbidden Island and fall ill with anthrax. Their adopted ADHD sister calls a reporter and they are saved when they film the atrocitys that has happened to them. It should be in the shortlist. 8/10?

I didn't like this book because it wasn't interesting and completely absurd! The ending was depressing and unrealistic this would of never of happened and even though it's fiction it is mean't to be!
I'd give this book 3/10 becuse it's horrible!

This book is fantastic, i like the way that Malcolm has introduced the charicters, and when the R.A.F blew up there boat it was a thrilling part of the story.
I also like the amazing front cover of the book i think it gives the story a real good start, it really makes people want to pick it up and read it.
Age 11-15
Rating 9/10

i love this book!!!!!! it starts off a bit boring but it just gets better and better. I love the idea of having a forbidden island and having a disease in it. I also love mikes character, how he enjoys his life and ignores the sign. However there are some bad points too... i didnt like the ending that much because 3 people died it would have been better with just 1 person dying or all of them surviving but 3 people was just too much and left me very upset even though it was a book

WICKED!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is incredibly adventurous and emotionally touching. Mike and his friends' actions make you realise whats important and how they feel about each other. Discrimination is showed against one child but in the end it is that girl who saved their lives. In my opinion the wrong people died at the end of the story. I would recommend this book to all ages. It is a real page-turner.
